Australian Honours System 50th Anniversary 2025 6-Coin Proof Set
Expected arrival in store mid-May
Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Australian Honours and Awards System, and headlined by a unique FULL-COLOUR 50c type, we are delighted to present the Royal Australian Mint’s 2025 6-Coin Proof Set!
The Australian Honours and Awards System was introduced in 1975 by then Labor Party Prime Minister Gough Whitlam. Over the last fifty years, more than 500,000 Australians have been recognised for their exceptional service or achievements across fields as varied as healthcare, the military, industry and the arts. Appropriately, the Royal Australian Mint is honouring the 50th anniversary of the Australian Honours and Awards System, and the ordinary Australians doing extraordinary things for Australia.
One of the most important collector issues of the year, the 2025 Proof Set comprises six Australian legal tender coins. Struck to exquisite Proof quality, this includes the 5c, 10c, 20c, $1 & $2 – each bearing the classic design of its denomination – united with a unique, one-year-only 50c commemorative. Superbly enhanced with full-colour, the 50c is based on Stuart Devlin’s iconic Order of Australia Medal, and features the ribbon colours of the Order of Australia, Bravery and National Medals.
Typical of the quality of all Royal Australian Mint issues, the 2025 Proof Set is beautifully presented within an official case, and is complete with an informative booklet. Protecting the flawless Proof quality for the long-term, each of the six coins is individually encapsulated.
