Australian Honours System 50th Anniversary 2025 6-Coin Mint Set
One of the most important dates on the Australian collector calendar has finally arrived! Issued to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Australian Honours and Awards System, and defined – as always – by value, presentation and the sparkling quality of the coins, we are delighted to present the 2025 6-Coin Mint Set!
The Australian Honours and Awards System was launched in 1975 by then Labor Party Prime Minister Gough Whitlam. Over the last fifty years, more than 500,000 Australians have been recognised for their exceptional service or achievements across fields as varied as healthcare, the military, industry and the arts. Fittingly, the Royal Australian Mint has devoted the 2025 Mint Set to the 50th anniversary of the Australian Honours and Awards System, and the ordinary Australians doing extraordinary things for Australia.
Struck to rigorous Uncirculated standard – far higher than the standard used to strike coins you find in your change – the 2025 Mint Set encompasses six Australian legal tender coins from the 5c to the $2. The 5c, 10c, 20c, $1 & $2 all carry the classic design of its denomination, with the 50c being a unique commemorative type. The perfect way to celebrate the Australian Honours and Awards System, the 50c is based on Stuart Devlin’s iconic Order of Australia Medal, and features the ribbon colours of the Order of Australia, Bravery and National Medals.
Beautifully presented within an acrylic case, set within an illustrated outer, the RAM’s annual Mint Set will, as always, be highly sought after.
