The 1918(M) Australian Florin was struck at the Melbourne Mint during the reign of King George V and forms part of Australia’s early Commonwealth silver coinage. Composed of 92.5% sterling silver and weighing 11.31 grams, it features the Australian coat of arms on the reverse and the King’s portrait on the obverse.
This example has been graded AU55, showing light circulation while retaining strong detail and much of its original appearance. A classic early Australian silver florin.
