The design of this coin draws inspiration from the iconic Australian-linked poem “In Flanders Fields,” written by Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae. Its vivid orange hue symbolises the warm sunset that fell over Flanders Fields, while the larks depicted above capture the poignant beauty of that solemn day.

Presented in a Royal Australian Mint Roll with a Tails/Tails configuration (colour will be showing on both ends of the roll rather than heads on one side and tails on the other)
